Unplanned drawing that I was unsure as to how I might continue after the initial linework.
I ruled out watercolor and oil pastel quickly, as they're both screwy as far as application, and i wanted to preserve the linework as much as possible. The only options were: prismacolor pencils, photoshop, or acrylic paint. I just used prisma's recently and wrecked some other linework, so that was out, and I don't have many acrylic colors.
I first went over the linework with a sharpie, and erased away all pencil.
My next dilemma was the color. I wanted something on the dark side, because (though the faces are funny in some cases) I wanted a darker mood. Since the faces merge together, it would have been a horrible bastard to do multicolored faces. In the end, I did it completely in grayscale, then colorized it with a blue filter. After that, I tried many other filters to spice it up. I ended up using halftone pattern (line) on the lowest contrast.

love it when you just go randomly with a sketch and see what happens this has a unique style and the colours and tones work really well, so good choice

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
